Report an error

Write to hello@plainzip.com with the page's address and what you believe is wrong; a link to the source that shows it helps. Each report is read and answered. The figure is checked against the file it came from: if PlainZIP made the error, it is fixed at its source in the data pipeline, so every page that shows it changes together, and it is listed below. If the error is in the source file itself, PlainZIP says so on the affected pages.

Corrections made

  • October 2026. Survey years corrected site-wide: figures labelled "ACS 2019-2023" were from the ACS 2020-2024 5-year release, and population figures labelled with the survey were 2010 Census counts. Every page now states population from the same survey as its other figures, with the 2020 and 2010 Census counts shown separately.
  • October 2026. Census caps shown as amounts: household incomes at the $250,000 cap and home values at the $2,000,000 cap are now printed as caps and ranked as ties.
  • October 2026. Land areas and densities now use the 2020 ZIP code areas (2023 Gazetteer) instead of the 2010 areas.
